Factory Aluminum Wheel would not fit my Steel Wheel Truck

Following advise from many areas I purchased a set of Factory Aluminum Wheels off of Craigslist. Tried to get them mounted and the tire shop had a rim on the rear axle with 1/4" to go and it would not budge on any further.
Tire shop advised not to put on truck unless I was going to sell it when it got a flat! Darn. Truck came with the steel wheels. Couple of mechanics told me to: check for corrosion or bore our the center of the wheel. Not sure that is a good solution. Looking for any simular experiences.
Here is the technical info on the aluminum wheels:

Should fit no issue. I went with that rim on my 05.

Should fit. Probably corrosion. I have the factory alloys and it took 2 guys at the tire shop to get the rears off when I replaced the tires. Others with first hand experience will chime in on how you should proceed.

What year wheels did you buy?

Reread....you gave the size! I have to go with NJMurvin's suggestion

Remember that Dodge switched rear end suppliers in 03. The older center may be smaller then the newer center. I've never compared them.

I've run several different factory wheels on every SRW truck I have owned. I did have one occasion where the alloy rims were hard to get off of the rear. I think you just need to clean things up.

It's the right wheel

Picture of 2003-2008 wheel. When I get some free time will go at the corrosion.
Thanks for the replies!
