Exterior door handles faded

Finally purchased my 05 last night. Love the truck, but the exterior door handles are somewhat faded in color. Anything you can do to bring them back to looking new? I know there are some spray solutions that may help but they will run down the side of the truck when it rains.
Thanks.

303 Protectant works very well in that type of application.

I put that Black Magic stuff from Turtle Wax on all the black parts on the exterior and it looks good. It makes it shine and I believe it helps prevent them from fading. I don't care, it looks better no matter what it is really doing!! Just a thought, but that's what I use.

Oh yeah, congrats on the purchase too!

X2 on the 303. It's expensive, but works better than anything I've tried. You can get black trim dyes that will return the black look to it. After that keep the 303 on there and it will keep it from fading again.

I used a Mr. Clean magic eraser to remove some excess wax off mine last wash, noticed they seemed alot shinier afterwards.

I actually tried the Turtle Wax Ice paste on my paint, and after reading the directions (yeah I know always read first) it said to use it on all the plastic too. I tried it and wow, nothing sticks too it, and it looks fanastic. Don't know if it will work as a restorer, but it might be worth a try because you can use it on the rest of the truck too. Except chrome, don't put it on the chrome.

Thanks for the replies. Does the 303 run down the side of the truck when it rains? JamesB, how well does the Turtle wax paste work on the paint?
Thanks.

Just a tid bit of info, I've read that products with silicon in them are bad for plastics and rubbers. That combined with sunshine is bad business.

The Ice wax seems to work well on the paint. At first I didn't like it, but after seeing that most of the daily road grime washes right off, I started to like it more. If you use it, do very small sections at a time.

I'm not sure if it has silicone in it, now I have to go check. I'll be right back

I second the ice wax, I didnt like it the first time I used it, but after I got a few coats on it, the truck looks, great, it takes care of all the plastic and chrome, super simple. i also used the ice clay bar, huge P.I.T.A, but it really brought the truck to another level

X3 on the Ice wax. I use it on my plastic only though, not the paint.

Got a little side tracked, but I just checked the side of the can (paste wax) says "contains petroleum distilates", nothing about silicone. May have it anyway.

Mothers has a product called ' Back to Black'. Works very well to restore the faded black.

I use Armorall GEL on my plastic. It brings back the black and it doesnt leave the greasy feeling like the spray does.
