Maybe this is normal, but has anyone else looked at the order status that the dealer can see? The copy my dealer gave me has an estimated Ship date of 9/9/03 which is the same date it went into BX status. I figured an estimate can be off but how can it be off that much? I mean the report was pulled on 9/11 and going by the report, it should have been shipped.

BTW, Dealer said that the reason for the hold on some of the parts is because Dodge is in the process of moving most all the 2500 manufacturing to St Louis, MO, which is where mine is coming from.

 

: They have a new story every week. I just wish they'd get it together and build and ship our trucks. My dealer said 4-6 weeks from the order date it would be there. Hmm, I ordered 8/21 and it's not even built yet... : They'll tell you anything to get a sale/order/get you out of their hair. :'(

 

I share in the "waiting" frustration. I have a VIN for my '04 2500 QC 4x4 Cummins HO/48re. DC says it was built August 25th and shipped August 26th. It was built and shipped on the same dates as another 2500 QC 4x4 ordered by my dealer. That truck showed up at the dealer last Monday. My truck has yet to be delivered. The latest trace showed the truck on rail in St. Paul, MN (destined for Canada) on September 10th. The rail yard in my city doesn't have it and St. Paul, MN rail yard doesn't have it.

I'm involved in show jumping (horses) for a hobby and have 3 trips to make this week. I was hoping to get my truck last week. Oh well, I'll just use the work vehicle (as a tow vehicle) for another week.

 

I too feel for all of you who have not received your new Rams.

Mine arrived last Tuesday and it has hardly stood still.

I am really pleased with this 04 Ram.

Getting accurate answers from your dealer is sometimes difficult. Not all the trucks get on the fastest railcar. I know of one ordered from my dealer that got sidetracked somewhere in the mid-west. It left the same time as mine, but got delayed.

I even went to the Big City Railyard at the time mine was expexted and saw my truck there, it's easy to recognize. (2wd, long box, red, Laramie, sport)

After I had spotted it my dealer informed me that mine had been held up and would not arrive until late September. All I could do was chuckle, and it arrived next night.

So far I have installed the Mopar wheel well liners, slushmats up front & carpetmat in the rear, front rubber mudflaps, rear moulded mudflaps, black/smoke hood & fender protectors (bugshield), SmarTire Road Voice tire pressure monitoring system. The Sirius radio will be a weekend project.
