So I was hauling an 850 Bushell Unverferth Grain Cart home tonight, rolling along at what I felt was the maximum safe speed with my 4 ways on.

Lo and behold they started to flash very erraticly, like flash, wouldn't flash, then just left would flash for a while , then right, I could hear the flasher clicking like crazy.

Seemed very stramge.

Anybody ever run into this?

All the bulbs are fine.

Bad flasher?

 

My 06 does the weird stuff with the blinkers every now and then. I have read of a few instances with others and something about a switch in the steering column. Hopefully someone that has had and fixed this will chime in.

 

I don't have time right now, but i'll search on chrysler's database for any problems. Tool, did your flashers still act weird after disconnecting the grain cart?

Not to hijack the thread, but is it a grain cart or gravity wagon?

How many and what kind of lights were you flashing?
LED lights require a resistor for proper function..If You exceed the ampacity of the circuit you need to run the extra lights with a relay do a search on this..

 

It was a Grain Cart as it 2 wheels, pto drive, hydraulic folding unloading auger.

The Carts lights were not plugged into the truck (when I picked it up I discovered that it was a 7 pin round pin plug, like a highway truck and would obviously not work with my 7 pin RV style that came factory equipped) therefore I was only flashing the truck lights, no LED or any other kind of trailer lights involved.

Very strange, I haven't noticed any other improper function of the lights before or since. But then again i don't drive around with my 4 ways on very often.
