keeping a hot flatbed cooler???

I have been looking VERY hard at the Bradford Built flatbeds. I have one hangup though and it is a dealbreaker. IS there any way to keep these metal decks cooler in the summer?? I have thought about maybe doing a light color Line-X like tan but I don't know how well it would work.
we keep our dogs back there and the black gets very hot. All of our other decks have been wood and it makes it ALOT cooler than black steel.

Any thought???

Do not know what you are going to use the flat bed for, but think about the cool deck they put around a swiming pool... Does not absorb the heat near as bad as concrete... The other option might be a removable blanket that snaps in place, removable when needed, gives the dogs a little extra traction

when i had a flatbed the dogs never seemed to mind it. the temps ranged in the upper 100-110 degree range during the summer.

theyll be ok. if you want to spend some money, a line-x would be a wise investment for the anti-slip properties...i learned the hard way(actually the dogs learned the hard way)

It is going to be used for quads ans snowmobiles along with the usual honeydoo's. Whatever I do I want it permanent or it won't get used.
