i used a bondo spreader thingy....but it still left some of the tape on, which i imagine unless the truck is brand new it will still eave some...then i put adhesive remover on it....bu

It does protect it. ESPECIALLY since I do a TON of highway driving in winter months with lots of salt not only on the roads but being kicked up by other traffic. I don't have to ever worry about rust or corrosion or stone chips from my big tires, etc. I look at it as preventitive maintenance. If you are the kind of person who doesn't mind or even likes scratches then it's not for you, but on black, I cannot stand any imperfections so I am sure I would pay more in body work than the film costs. Especially over a 5-7 year period.

How did you paint your stock wheels...they look great! Are they powdercoated, or painted, and did you remove the chome 'cover' first or just go right over the chrome?

My 06 had been on the lot for about 7 months and when I had them pulled the emblems you could still see the out line of the letters from the glue, it finally faded away after months but had to reapply from the idiots scratching my paint. Tried to colour sand but they scratches were tooooooooo deep....
