Yep same story with me my red dully has the same problem with soot on the back finder I'm getting a exhaust tip will keep you informed

Does anyone know the size of the exhaust on a stock 04 like mine. I'm tring to order a exaust tip on line. 4" or 5"

DC is true to form and refused to add an exhaust tip.
I went to an exhaust shop and had a 12" stainless steel tip added. $128 bucks.
Too bad we have to fix our trucks because the manufacturer in unwilling to do things right the first time. What ever happened to quality...

Finally broke down and installed a 4" Stainless 12" extension. No more black soot on the white fender. 
Also no more $128.00 C in my jeans.
