DuallY tail pipe TOO Short
I am having exhaust "blacking" building up on "plastic" fender above the exhaust pipe.
I have mud flaps which may cause some of the problem but it is evident that DC is using the same tailpipe for the dually as they are using for the 2500 and single wheel 3500s.
This tailpipe is about 4-5"s short............
I will, I am on holidays fishing right now, go back to my dealer to have them solve the problem.
Black exhaust on a white truck fender is U G L Y .
I'll let you know in September what my dealer says.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so did the dealer fix it?
Regards
Frank B

Jeffy.
I have not noticed that the fenders are darker in the evening. Looking at it right now - overcast around noon CDT, they seem to look the same. I'll check tonight.
Everyone - Yea! DC has screwed up again and the customer has to pay for it. Just the same, I'll try and beat up my dealer for the extension. Until September - its soap and water every day.....
Any suggestions on a good 4" tip other than the 100$+ Mopar tip..
Cheers Frank
PS
The fishing is great in NW Ontario - cool wx but good Walleye.

I've got a white dually and I noticed the rear fenders are a slightly different shade of white. I'm adding a 5" polished SS tip to the tailpipe. I guess I might let i hang out a bit more than I planned...

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions.
I guess I'll have to bite the "bullet" and put on a nice crome extension.
Dual stacks sound great but the co-pilot would not hear of it - besides I would have to move my in-bed fuel tank and tonneau cover - oh well!
Thanks again gang.
cheers f

I had the tank made at BSD in London. Custom with fuel pump, manual cut off valve, in-dash on/off switch and a backflow valve in the truck fuel filler.
Cost ~ 2100 CDN. Diamond steel ~ 81 US gals.
If you are interested, I can dig out the phone number and web site.
I am on a pay phone now - fishing up-north. I'll look for the info in my RV when I get back and if I have it, I edit this message with the info.
Take care
Cheers Frank
