newbie here

Greetings from southeastern Arizona! I just bought a new '07 Megacab DRW and found this site while scouring the interweb for Dodge Diesel forums. DTR seems like a cool place to hang out and maybe learn a thing or three. So how do i go about joining your Megacab club? The directions didnt seem all that clear, or maybe i'm just low on comprehension this morning

My truck is stock for now, and it is my 1st diesel vehicle, so i'll be here absorbing knowledge like a sponge and probably asking lots of questions (some of them may be ridiculously dumb for you long-time diesel owners out there).

Anyway, Thanks in advance for your anticipated patience in dealing with me

Smile thanks for the welcome!

thanks TxFireMedic and Billyfish!

Hey, how do i go about getting a pic small enough to be avatar sized? My digi-cam saves pics kinda large in kbytes and i dunno what to do about that.

Billyfish, I tried finding a dually in the same color your truck is, and was told they didnt make duallies in the khaki color, only SRW trucks. 2 different dealers told me that, was just wondering what your experiences were. I love that color, it was clearly my first choice, but i finally had to settle for white. Since i live in a climate with 105 degree heat for months at a time, white colored truck kinda made sense. White reflects heat the best, according to the laws of physics. But that Khaki color would blend in soooooo well with all the dust that blows around here, i could go weeks without having to wash my truck!

That's the one thing the dealers actually got right - Khaki DRW trucks aren't available. If they were mine would be a DRW.

I used imageshack for my avatar. You can save pictures there and they have links to post on boards and one says "use as avatar" This is compressed small enough for what you want.

There are several picture hosting sites.

LOL

I know I have been outside all weekend. Recovering from knee surgery so not driving just yet (hopefully this week) but just too nice to sit in the house.

ok, forgive me in advance if i post this in the wrong category, but i did a few searches on the site and could not come up with any info specifically regarding lift kits and bigger wheels and tires for the Megacab 4x4 dually. Has anybody on this forum lifted one? Got any pics?

Also, is it just me, or does the 4x4 sit lower in the front than in the rear? I know the 2wd dually trucks do, but i thought the 4x4 would sit more level for some reason. LOL, i never even noticed it until today.

How do i remedy this?

First off the 4x4 does sit lower in the front. You can get leveling kits for this. As far as kits got you can read the signatures if the guys in here to see what lifts and tires they run. I know there are a few.
