No hay anymore. Sold the property. Only have 5 acres now and too many trees to plant. No incentive to knock down all the trees and convert to hay farm. Have heard that around San Antonio and Austin that the hay is scarce, or what they have been able to raise is so dry horses won't eat it. Cows barely will. Buddy of mine with about 50 head had to go out of the area to get his, 3 tractor trailer loads...

Yeah, we've been buyin it from the Houston area, $120 a bale by the truckload. May try that Tifton 85 next year.

Yeah, its supposed to be a good grass, High in protein and easily digestible. Has to be good, I think it was developed at A&M, Whoop!!!

I know exactly where Haskell is at!!
