Same here. As soon as it starts to run out I quickly put he plug in to keep as much as possible in there.

 

I'm kind of thinking of getting an L-shaped auxiliary in-bed fuel tank with the toolbox on top. I've seen a few manufacturers make these, but they seem to be for longbeds. Does anybody have any knowledge of a company making these for the megacab's short bed?

I havn't seen an L shaped for a short bed. I've got a 50 gal with a toolbox on top but its not an L shape.

My high beams on my 2008 Megacab don't seem very bright. Has anyone noticed this or is it just my old age making them seem dim??

 

they don't seem that bright cause when you turn them on your fog lights turn off. I know that have something you can buy that keeps the foglights on when you turn your high beams on. Me if you just hold the high beam switch on without actually clicking it on the fog lights stay on.

 

You can get the dealership to program the fogs to stay on with the highs or you can buy or borrow a bullydog programmer and use it to turn this option on. I borrowed one from a member on here and used it only to add this option, enable high idle option and set the accessory timer. I know the 08's already come with high idle, but I would imagine these other options could be enabled.

 

Proud new member of DTR Megacab club #225. Quick question, I have a rattle in the left side of the bed was there before I put in my B&W gooseneck also have had the bed off for some paint work. I can not seem to find it and neither can the dealer. Any suggestions?? Also anyone have problems with the paint chipping off the rear fenders? Linving in Colorado with the snow and gravel they put down my rear fenders are almost white do to no paint.

 

Welcome baileyram. Sounds like you need some flares or flaps or something for the paint problem. As far as the rattle goes, Im not real sure but maybe somebody else will have some ideas.

 

I didn't even make home from the dealer without chipping up the fenders, instaled flaps the next day, did not help much. I haven't seen it as bad on other Megacabs, maybe I just notice it more because of the color??? I am thinking about running boards.

 

I know some have added the Line-X (or other) to the lower fenders for this reason.
