2wd not so good. The engines are so heavy, it makes the back ends extremely light.

I've got an 01 dually. Not my ideal snow vehicle if I have to go out in that stuff. Rear is light and it "floats". If I have to go out, I'll drive up my quad into bed for quick additional 700lbs. Helps...just a little.

Hope this helps

I've heard so much discussion on this in the past. About half the guys say they do good and half say the opposite. Every morning I go out and check for snow, and it just hasen't happened yet. Oh, it's 88 deg today.

well we get a lot of snow around here, but i have a srw 3500 , the only tricky part is when you corner, if in 4x4 you need to be on the throttle a lil bit or you won't turn at all, just keep going forward. one more thing if find you are going forward instead of left or right, and you know your gonna hit that curb before you can stop, steer into it, hitting it with your tires instead of the side of your rims is gonna save you huge dollars, maybe lose a tire instead of half your suspension.

My last truck was a 2000 Ford F-350 dually 4x4. These duallys aren't good in any slippery situation without good tires. I put some siped Remington Mud Brutes (255/85/16) on it and it drove awesome in the snow, mud, and muck. Trailered 10k through 2 ft of hilly snow for 200 miles no issues whatsoever.
