Door Handle
In the last six months my truck has been a victim of attempted theft three different times. Each time "they" shove a screwdriver in the the drivers door lock. What I am wondering is if I can install a passenger side door handle without a keyhole in its place. I have keyless entry and don"t care if I loose the use of the door mounted lock. I'm not sure if this would work but I am willing to try about anything. I was never a believer in car alarms but the factory alarm has saved it every time. I lost an 03 F250 4dr powerstroke last April and used the insurance payout to purchase my 04.5 2500 dodge, I have to say "they" did me a favour by taking the Ford I sure wouldn't feel the same way about this truck. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Do you have an alarm? Alot of times just the impression that the truck has a security system will keep the amatuers away, kids looking for radios and money and thigs like that. If you don't have or want an alarm go to Radio shack and get a 12v flashing LED, mount it in the dash near the headlight switch so it's visible from outside. Connect the 12v posative wire to a constant 12v at the column, connect the ground wire to the ignition wire at the column and you've got a cheap security system. The led will turn on and flash when you shut the key off and stya on untill the key is on again and theives will think twice before hitting your truck again.
