does defiants steering stabilizer fit the upgraded steering
Pretty much just that does the steering stablizer from defiant fit the upgraded steering?

Looks like its for the old style bar with hole in it. I cant see how that "pin" would attach to the new style bracket.
Edit.... I just went and looked at the bracket on my truck, and there's no way that pin would work with it. The new bracket uses a shorter bolt with a round head. I'm sure you could get the bolt from any hardware store or call Paul from Defiant and ask him.

Can someone describe the upgraded steering for me please... I am in need of a new box and would like to investigate all options before plunking down the plastic.
setup is '05 2500 with thuren HD steering kit, stabilizer, tracbar, Carli upper ball joints, moog lowers and a defiant steering brace.

The upgraded steering is the linkage that is used on the 08-09 model trucks. If you already have the Thuren HD steering kit then you wouldn't need this. If your looking for a gear box, you might investigate these http://redheadsteeringgears.com/. I have no first hand knowledge of them other than I was investigating changing mine out and called them last week. They seemed real knowledgeable. Hope this helps.
