My '07 has terrible paint. Its gotta be the softest,thinnest paint ever put on a vehicle. This stuff scratches if you look at it wrong.

Blame the EPA.. years back they all had to go to water based paint in the USA..

Never did understand why the truck built in Mexico still have the same cheap paint though.

They put the same ol crappy "EPA" paint on the Mexican trucks? There's an old thread on this topic and as I recall somebody asked and it turned out that all the lousy paint jobs were on trucks built in the USA while none were from Mexico.

I had a 2001 and now a 2007.5 both made in Mexico, and the paint on both is extremely thin. The EPA is causings us LOTS of problems.

the paint on my dodge is ten times thicker then what was on my titan. it is comparable to what was on my jeep. After miles and miles of off roading my jeep still buffed out like new.

I'm having the paint flake off in quarter size flakes, the dealer says its from rock chips but these are not chips these are flakes

Paint on my '03 sucks too. Not only that, the sheet metal is not too good.

I rubbed my door against a toyota 4runner or Sequoia some time ago and scratched the paint and put a dent in that Toyota. I guess I expected more from them. Bottom line is it's the industry, not Dodge.

paint scratches very easily. mine is holding up well, though- but i clay bar my truck twice a year and wax it three times a year ( i am sure that helps) now, my rocker panels are a different story-even with fender flares i have a massive amount of chips- next year the rockers are getting line-x!!
