I wouldn't refer to myself as a redneck. I've been called a redneck, okie, hick, etc. But, I like to refer to myself as a good ol' boy. I prefer drinkin' bud with my buddies on our tailgates over going to some fancy bar any day. I eat meat, I shoot guns, I drink beer, I burp and fart, and recently quit chewing after 11 years (and hating every day of it). However, this has nothing to do with my intelligence level. I was in the military for seven years as a Blackhawk mechanic, got out and started college. I shortly got sick of it and tested/applied for my current job. The funny thing is I only have a high school diploma, yet I have the same job title as physics majors and engineering majors. My official title: Nuclear Power Plant Operator. I chose the trade school option on the poll because I counted my military experience as such. Without it, I never would have gotten where I am now. Redneck you ask? Maybe; if so, I'm an intelligent one.
