Question Dodge 2500 chrome oval steps and bedliner

I just ordered my 2004.5 2500 Laramie QC 4wd cummins auto with chrome oval steps, does anybody have the factory steps on their truck and do you like them, do they look like the westin chrome oval steps. Does anybody have the factory under rail bedliner, if so do you like it, does the bedliner have cutouts in the liner for the bed tie down clets and is the sides of the liner molded for 2x4 so you can double stack things. thanks

Thumbs up

I have the factory under rail bedliner and yes it has notches for 2X4's and the tie downs are already mounted for use. Good professoinal look to them.

Thanks Danram20. Thought about adding bedliner to the order.

I saw the oval steps on a RAM in the dealers showroom and they looked pretty nice. Don't know the cost vs aftermarket but they looked substantial.

I just installed the Westin Oval Tube Steps on my 03 Ram. I searched and searched and settled on these. I looked at the Mopar ovals too, I think they are chromed steel, the Westins are chromed aluminum. The Westins are a 5" oval, I think the Mopars are 4" oval. I looked at a RAM at the auto show with the Mopars and I think my Westins stick out from the body of the truck a little more +/- 1". The Westins mount to the cab mounts, like a lot of nerf bars do, and the Mopars mount to the body itself in the oval holes underneath, but they do have 3 mounts compared to 2 mounts for the WestinsTake a look at them in my gallery. I got the Westins for about $390. I have been seeing the Mopar ovals on Ebay also.

I chose the Westins, but if I would have saved my penny's a bit longer I probably would have gone with the PUTCO 4" wheel-to-wheel bars, just a thought.

Good Luck

Hope this helps

Putco !

I would look at the Putcos as well, way nicer than the factory Dodge. A little more money but you get what you pay for.
