The "light load" button only affects the PSI at which the TPMS trips an alarm on the REAR tires. With "light load" enabled, the TPMS doesn't trip the alarm until pressure in the rear tires fall below 45psi. With the "light load" disabled, it trips when pressure in the rear tires fall below 60psi. The fronts trip at pressure levels below 60psi no matter where the "light load" feature is.

On a side note, with my fronts aired up to 52psi cold and my rears aired up to 50psi cold, my TPMS doesn't trigger until the ambient temperature falls below 40 degrees F. Maybe the TPMS is "learning" a little bit. Only took 47,000miles on these tires...

I have an 08 SRW 3500 Laramie.. Thankfully I don't have TPMS... Sounds like a HUGE pain in the azz!!
