Could be true. Generally, though, perception is likely to be that MIA is better than MIM. Just read some of the posts above. Only time will tell . . .

My 2003 Taylor 810 is better made, sounds as good or better and is WAY easier to play than my brother's 1939 Martin D18, but his is still worth $20k more. Again, perception . . . combined with good old "supply and demand"

According to my Dodge dealer the Mexican built trucks have proven to be more reliable than the US made ones!!

BTW- My first guitar was a Korean Fender/ Squire Strat. It was junk, so I bought a $1300 Strat deluxe plus(Made in USA). It was junk also. Finally got a Les Paul classic, NOT junk.
