We were looking at the trucks and the Laramies have a plastic cover over the wheels to make them look shiny. What in the world kind of crap is that?
BTW, what is a pin STIPE?????

I feel great about myself. That should be obvious by now.

BTW, that is a great example of a spelling mistake and not grammar. Now you know the difference.

Sorry, couldn't help it it's too much fun. Anyway, sorry if I butted in where I shouldn't have. I feel like a little kid with the last couple of posts. I hope you realize that the last few posts were all in fun as far as I was concerned. I don't mind if you seek retribution it should be a hoot. Fire away.

Dang, that one's better than mine. Mind if I use that one?

Those cats wouldn't make it overnight in MT. It's starting a little though with the campus at Montana State.

Too funny. Won't make it pass the censors, but very good indeed.

Methinks you could have told him you paid $20K below invoice and he would have said the same thing.

An ad in the Boston Herald last week listed an 06 CTD with the msrp of ~ $42K had a price of "as low as $27,999". I don't know what the "as low as" meant, unless they mean you have to finance it through the dealer for 6 years and can't pay it off early.

Jerks. Sounds to me like they took the MSRP from a QC 2500 CTD, then quoted an "As Low As" from the EP (-) rebate of a Hemi. No way someone is getting into a 42K sticker for less than 30K, that I refuse to believe.

I don't want to tick anyone off here but..., maybe the marketing teams are worse than the salespeople themselves?
Maybe.

I'm surprised you guys don't go after the holdback money when dealing.
So much info on the internet in regards to MSRP, TRUE invoice (not the one the secretary prints up) and holdback.
Dealership should make $1000. to $1500. per deal INCLUDING holdback.
I just purchased a new car for my wife. 1st model year, very popular, so some dealerships were quoting MSRP with no discount. I found a dealer over the internet and bought if for $1200 over true invoice. This particular brand (BMW) has no holdback. They have some minor sales incentives that are tied into a survey system. Since the BMW don't have inflated MSRP I can't brag to my friends that I got 10g off MSRP.
When negotiating ALWAYS start from true invoice. Work up from there. NEVER down from MSRP.

Please answer this one.
Check at Edmunds.com, they are usually very accurate on dealer invoice pricing, at least on the new vehicles I have purchased. I bought my Ram used though.
