I had one salesman tell me that people are paying MSRP. I laughed, then I told him they must be really stupid. He was a young punk. I went in to get a price, and they wouldn't give me a price (other than MSRP) without leaving my name and contact info. They said it was their policy. I told him it's my policy NOT to give it to them. Lol.

I swear, to look at them, those invoices aren't really invoices anyway.

After we just satarted looking at trucks back in May, my wife said (about an "invoice" we saw) "His secretary printed that up".....

They are the same from dealship to dealership, that I can tell you.
I've seen another document that is not an invoice, but has more information than the supposed invoice. It had an area for "HB" on my truck it was 1266.

Hold Back = $1,266

You're an idiot. Customers lie just as much as salesmen lie. I sold vehicles for awhile here at the dealer I work at. I had and have loyal customers that now come to me in the bodyshop, which I know run.

Your narrowmindedness will keep you from ever getting a good deal.

Oh yeah, it's SOUL, not sole.

Keep in mind it was just his opinion. I think everyone knows that all sales people aren't like that.

Back to the original post, there are two invoices that a dealer can show you, the dealer's invoice and the retail invoice. I assume the first guy was looking at the retail invoice when he made his deal, as others have said, from MSRP.

First, thanks for pointing out a spelling mistake, a mere finger slip onto a key.

Keep in mind what I stated was just my opinion as well, thanks sport.

I THINK my dealer paid about $33,700 for mine (I paid $35,322 after rebate, before any other taxes or fees)

Looked like a $1,622 hold back plus some other incentives for them.

MSRP on the truck was $43,110

I was going to buy a 2006, sticker was 44,200 or something close, and my price was 33,000.
The deal on selling my truck fell through, so I couldn't buy it.

These prices are all in line, I paid $1,522 more for the 3500 FRW. Same package, plus FF floor, tow mirrors (who doesnt have them) & premium cloth)

Only thing I could have hoped for would be better financing. I ended up with 66 Mo. @ 5.99 through a local Credit Union.
5 yrs. @ 0% would have probably even been cheaper per month and obviously saved money over the term.
No regrets here, there will always be someone who makes a better deal, I know for a fact there are tens of thousands of people over the last few years that have who gotten worse!

No problem slim. Just thought I would point out your grammar skills so that next time you want to call someone an idiot and try to ridicule them for their grammar you might think about it first. It's not very fun is it?

Sure it is. I think you look ridiculous, because where did grammar or spelling even come into it?

Hope you feel better about yourself now.
