dashboard seatbelt light

Had the dealer disable the annoying seatbelt buzzer on my '07. They said they couldnt do anything about the seatbelt light though. Surely there is a way short of tearing the dash apart and taking the friggen bulb out? Can anyone help?

I think your stuck with it!

even if you tear the dash apart and take the bulb out it will probably throw the check engine light on to let you know the bulb is burned out in your cluster. (or it thinks it is burned out becuase it is gone)

Use a wire tap/ connector and connect the two wires that come out of the seat belt latch. then it thinks the belt is on...

Yep that's all there is to it. I unplugged the connector under my seat, stuck a slightly modified spade terminal (mashed on it with some needle nose pliers to get it to fit snug) onto the the connector pins, taped it over with electrical tape and got rid of the annoying dash seatbelt light.

Use the center belt

I just plugged my center seat belt into the driver's latch. If I need to, I can then plug my seat belt into the center latch. Just my 2 cents worth

That'll work but to look and see a seatbelt plugged in everytime I climbed into the truck would almost annoy me as much as looking at the dash light all the time and besides it's only a simple 10 minute job at most to reach under the seat unplug the connector and jumper the two pins together.
