In dash gauge mount

In dash gauge mount
Just picked up my '07 2500 5.9
One of the first things on my mod list will be a set of gauges. Don't really want to do the pillar mount and was looking for something to mount up under the counsel in the area where the manual shifter would be.
Found this in a search and was wondering if anyone had any experience and if indeed it would work on an early '07?

Thanks....

If I remember right I think Blake Clark has put several gauges in his truck and I think used something close to that, I do know that he did a very comprehensive write up on what he's done. You might do a search and see what comes up.

Thanks for the pic, how did you route the wires behind there? Can you remove some of the plastic to access in there or just get a big drill bit?
Thinking that's the way I want to go, looks less obtrusive than the pillar mounts to me.

My truck had a storage tray recessed into the dash. I removed that and this mount fits perfectly in it's place. Lots of room for wires behind the dash.......

That's what I was wondering, wondering if you could retrofit it into the opening or maybe down below?
Thanks for the additional pics

Well there aint no such thing as dont fit, per say.....
It all depends on how involved you want to get with it. You could cut the bezel at the opening below the radio and make it fit. Wont be a plug and play setup though.
I cant cause Im running a nav bezel.
