in-dash 3 gauge pods

I just got my Isspro's last week, and I'm hoping to install them in the coming days.

I got the Auto Meter in-dash 3 gauge pod that goes into the dash under the A/C controls.

How do you get the dash panel off without breaking it? I saw some earlier threads where BadRammerJammer and others have installed them, so I know it can be done.

Any insight?

Thanks!

AUTO TRANS - Remove one screw by the plastic bag holder (near the passenger side a/c vent). Gently pry from the bottom to the top. After removal of the panel, disconnect the lighter and the a/c control wiring.

There is one screw by the trash hook on the passenger side of the center console cover. Remove that screw. The you just pry off slowly, I start top left and work around toward steering wheel. It is held in with snap tabs. You can open ash tray to help, but it will come off without removing anything else. Pull back slowly to disconnect the electrical connections and then you can take completely off. I have had mine out many times.

Back of console with gauges installed:

Thanks!!!!!

That looks pretty cool to have the gauges up top, I may have to give that a try...giving you full credit for the idea, of course.

Thanks again!

garbri,

I was not the first. I saw it on another member's post. I do like it much better. Just be prepared to hack on the console because some trimming is required.

Ram Daddy,

I have seen a truck that they moved the 4WD switch to the cigarette lighter hole and then installed the 3 gauge console pod. It can be moved to a couple of spots probably.
