Converting to Dual Zone Climate Control?
A friend has a third-gen SLT truck and loves the dual zone climate control in my Laramie. He's wondering what's involved in converting his truck? I suspect it's more than just buying the dual-zone controls.... but how much more? It seems to me that the parts involved should be minor to keep overall costs down. BUT... how hard would they be to get to deep inside the dash?
Anybody know?

You will definately need to get into the dash.
I tried on my friend's truck, by swapping my dual climate control with his controller. The A/C light was flashing, and only defrost. So there is probably another computer in the dash somewhere plus also a different blower/duct/door box. I would imagine it wouldn't be cheap.

Tommygun researched this a while back. A heater box is also required. I think a search here or on TDR will bring up the thread. I believe he thought it was not worth doing in the end.
