Compare ride of 3500 & 2500 4X2

Goint to purchase 2003 4X2 diesel. Need some help in deciding on 3/4 or 1 ton short box. Since we are going to be on the road a lot I am concerned with how these 2 trucks compare with ride quality. I am unable to test drive 2 wheel drives because all trucks the local dealers have are 4X4's.
Any suggestions?

If your going to be on the road alot are you pulling a trailer or 5er....the 3500's like a little weight on the rear then they ride good ;D and with a 5er in a cross wind are more stable

About 30% of the time 10,000 LB load, 5th wheel. About 40,000 miles a year.

Then you need the 3500. I don't think you will find that the 2500 has the payload you need for your fiver. Even my dually rides better than my 97 2500. My two cents.

Casey

There is no diff in ride quality between a 2003 2500 and 3500srw..they both ride on the same main springs, and the 3500 has overload springs to handle extra heavy loads.
