Clunk in front end
Hello gentleman This is my problem When I make turns to the right I hear a clunking sound in the front end. NOt all the time and it does it more the faster or harder the turn is. I have the KORE pace system on the truck it is a 2004.5 Quad cab CTD. Took it to an alingment shop they looked it over couldn't find anything wrong they alinged it and the noise stopped. Yesterday I washed my truck and the noise returned I know that probably had nothing to do with the noise returning just thought I would mention it. I put the KORE system on myself And have gone over ever nut and bolt I can find in the steering system can't find anything wrong. PLEASE HELP Any advice welcome. I'm afraid to take it to the dealer with the KORE on it not sure about warranty issues.

Mine is at the dealer right now getting front U-joints replaced under warranty because of a clunk in the front end . It would clunk than go away , but it always came back and I looked for over a moth trying to find it . They seemed tight until I got the front end off the ground and then it was obvious .

I had the same problem with the clunking noise in the front. Turned out that it was the coolant in the reservoir, which is mounted on the passenger side firewall. The coolant is sloshing around making the clunking noise. The tech at the dealership took out my coolant from the reservoir and it never made a noise. he put it back in it made the noise again. Then he let me drive another truck and it did the same thing, he took that coolant out and it stopped clunking. Pretty weird. So it has to do with the coolant reservoir.

Make double sure the track bar is TIGHT. I had a popping/binding sound coming from under my front end when I did my leveling kit. Researched it and found out I needed to torque the holy crap out of the bolt to the axle of the track bar. As much as you can with a cheater bar. Problem solved.

I am very happy that you found that clunking sound. I also have a 2005 with that same sound. I took my CTD to the dealer and they could not find it. Maybe the mechanics that work for the Dodge dealer needs to view this Web Site to enlighten their horizons.
