Wiring

When I did my 98, I had to wire it, put bulbs in all that. The wiring comes complete, all you do is put the bulbs in ect. My 98 had the overhead consould and it has an output for the lights, I just tied right into that. Most of the trucks have the wiring outlet, you just have to tie into it. Maybe it's near the fuse box, but there is an area to tie in. I'm sure the instructions with the new lights will show you exactly what to do.

I'm curious if there is a correlation between leaking lights and the use of high-pressure wash systems, touchless car washes, etc.

Might be worth starting a poll.

FWIW I wash my truck at home with a garden hose and my lights haven't leaked yet.

I also thought that may be the problem because I always run mine through the touchless wash. I ran mine through a couple of times after installing the new design Recons and had no condensation in them. The first leaker appeared after we had a few inches of snow. The water showed up after the snow melted off of the roof. The second Recon leaker showed up after rain the other day. I think it is nothing but poor design, both OEM and aftermarket. I contacted DC customer service about the OEM leaking cab marker lights about a year ago and got the same old response. Sorry for your luck and try another dealer. We have not had a problem other than a few isolated instances. I strongly suggest anyone that has this problem contact DC customer service 1-800-992-1997. Have them open a file and give you a case number. This way it will be documented. If we flood them with complaints, perhaps they will realize they do have a design flaw.
