Chrome Outside Door Handles

Does anyone have chrome exterior door handles? I seen a 1 ton Dually the other day with chrome door handles first and only one I have seen. Does anyone know about them?

I'd like to find a right door handle with a key lock. I think it's cheasy to have a lock on driver's side only.

You'll have to find an '03 door handle. When my buddy bought an '04, we started looking at the differences between our trucks, and the passenger door keyed door lock was one of them. That must have saved DC a couple of pennies.

The only ones I could find on ebay were covers, not actual door handles. That means it's double-back taped on, and will probably fall off eventually. Has anyone on here tried those things? I might be interested if they're proven not to be as cheesy as they look in the ad.

My '03 does not have a lock cylinder on the passenger side, so I don't think it was a change for just '04 models. I prefer not having a cylinder on both sides anyway. If you look at a lot of high end luxury cars, they don't have them either. If you have keyless entry, you really only need one manual backup lock and the setup is more secure IMHO.

Yeah, I had my keyless added after the fact. I guess that was it.

I still prefer having door lock cylinders on both sides.

2003Ram- I had my dealer add the keyless after I bought it off the lot and mine still came with only the lock on one side.

Well, I guess only Dodge can explain that one.

Maybe they keep the extra cylinders with the under-body rubber plugs.

If you have keyless entry, there is no door lock cylinder on th epassenger side. Go figure.

Check out these from Stylin' Concepts.com:

http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts....door%20handles

They're spendy but I think they would look real sharp.

I have em, they look nice, but they were pricey... And yes they did fall off, and I had to re-install with new tape... If I had to do over again, I would pass...
