Chrome door trim?

Did the factory offer chrome door trim, or would it be an aftermarket piece?

It's a factory item for the newer trucks I believe. I've seen a couple of new 05s with it. I'm thinking about it too......

I only have seen them sold aftermarket. PUTCO or something like that sells them for $65 or so.

I saw a brand new 05 on E-bay last week being sold by a dealership and it had the chrome trim on it. I just assumed it had come from the factory. Everything else looked stock. It was Lou Fusz Dodge....

I do like the looks of them. The set also comes with the chrome for the back tailgate. Looks shape with the chrome strip down the side of the truck.

So many things to buy... never enough $$ to buy them though

Chrome door guards/trim is factory offered on Laramie's. For 2006 I see a
"chrome group" option which I guess will be offered on SLT's that includes the door guards along with a chrome fuel filler door and exhaust tip.

YUCK! Chrome fuel filler door? Talk about sticking out like a sour thumb!! Who whould pay extra for that? Well, some pay extra for that ugly (IMO) fuel door that has the fakey rivet things. IMO, fuel filler doors should be invisilbe. But, then, I'm the guy who would pay extra to NOT have a hole in my roof (AKA sunroof).

I paid extra for the fakey rivet fuel door so why don't you tell me how you really feel .

Also, don't you think powder coating you wheels flame red has a "sore thumb" ring to it .

You are correct. The Laramie does come with the Chrome door mouldings. I mis-read that thinking it was more of Chrome Door Handles. Putco is only place that I have seen those.
