CENTERLINE WHEELS, question
Hi all. I bought my '06 3500 megacab second hand. Previous owner had put on 18" aftermarket wheels. Alum/Chrome from american racing. They have pitted terribly and starting to peel. I was looking at Centerline wheels after seeing a refrence on this website and was wondering who else out there is using CL wheels??? Are you happy with them ??? Which is best,
1. the polished aluminum finish or
2. the chrome ??????
Just got new Michelin tires not too long ago so I'm afraid I'm locked in to the 18" wheel size. Hate to loose my shorts on the tires.
Thanks All,

I had Centerline's, (polished finish) on my 85 Dodge and loved them. I have Alcoa/Mickey Thomson polished aluminum wheels on my 95. I prefer the polished finish.

thanks for the input. Are they an effort to keep them looking good ???? How does the polished finish hold up to the brake dust ???
I don't mind some effort to keep them up. But I don't look forward to having to polish them 2x / week .
I like some of their styles and hope they would suit my needs.
Thanks,

Good chrome wheels will take more abuse than polished aluminum wheels. I would go chrome. Two examples:
My buddy has a 2003 Tundra and was running some pro comp polished wheels in salt country, after 3 winters they were all pitted and black. Finishing the third winter on the same wheels in chrome and they still look good.
I have a set of chrome steel wheels on my 81 E-150 van. After 31 years there is some rust pits in the chrome, but cleaning them with steel wool they come up shiny on the rest of the surface.
