CD Removal?

My factory single disc CD player won't eject my CD. This happened about a year ago, but after a week, it ejected it one day. Brought it in and the dealer replaced the stereo. Now I'm out of warranty and nead to get my CD back. I plan to change out the stereo with an aftermarket after the holidays. Is there a way to get the CD to eject? I can keep pushing the "mode" button and it will finally change to CD and play, but won't eject. Any ideas?
Thanks Wayne

im 100% sure about this but on some cd players there is a very small hole by the bottom of it and if you streighten a paper clip and push it in there fairly hard sometimes depending whats wrong the cd will come out. i have never had the stock radio in my truck so im not sure if it would have it or not.

This radio does'nt have any hole in the front of it. I wonder if unplugging it then plugging it back in would reset it? There has to be a way.

Mine hangs up every so often also. The only thing that works is a good ol' fashion beating. Give the head unit a few good "taps" until it releases it. I can't guarantee any positive results other than your CD coming out.

I've got the six disk changer and for some reason, the disk in the number one spot won't come out sometimes. If I hear it trying to come out and I hit the dash above the radio it will come on out. My kids get a kick out of it. I was thinking that it has to do with all the dust here where I live. I really need to remove the radio and give it a good cleaning.

Well I have an update. Went to Bestbuy and bought a Kenwood HU today. Came home and installed it. WOW, what a difference. I took the factory unit and got down to where the CD was, and just did what it took to get my CD out. No damage to my CD but threw that factory piece of s!@# in the trash. Thanks for all the replies. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
Thanks Wayne

That is funny. My Volvo 850 did the same thing and I had to thump on the dash to make it spit out the cd.

On my 04 I had to kill the truck, restart it and then hit eject if it hung up.

Took it in under warranty and told them how dangerous this is and asked if they'd fix it.... but no cigar.

I just left my greatful dead road trip CD in there and gave up on chrysler.

Mine wouldn't eject one day, and I found it was actually a corner of the label on the CD that was sticking up and preventing it from ejecting. I used a piece of wire, or my pocket knife or something through the slot to hold down the label while I pressed eject. It came right out and has been fine since.

If I'd have known a new HU sounded this much better than the factory one, I would have replaced it when I bought the truck.
