CD Player Screwed Up!!!!!

I have the Infinity system or whatever. Single disc CD player. Well this morning I put my favorite cd in and was listening to it. My dad road with me later on to town so I turned it to the radio since he doesn't like the same kind of music. Well, it will not turn back to CD mode and will not eject the cd!!!! I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Do I need to take it to the dealer???

Or Oldsmobile, G.M. for that matter. Only way to get their crappy dash lights working when they decide to quit.

Pull the radio out, unplug the harness(es) and re-install the radio.

Stupid I know, but it works.........

Or, if you want to just kill the power, pull the fuse before pulling it out of the dash. Last time that happened in a Ford, I cycled the key a few time, played with the power, and it eventually gave me back the CD...

Well guys. I hit the dash this morning...and nothing. Parked the truck and just let it go. Well, hopped in tonight to go cruisin and it started workin. Must be my lucky day.

Mine has a gremlin like that too. Then later it works again. Usually mine says error when I put a CD in and the dash is warm during a long drive. Later, when it's cold it will work. Then it won't give it back, so I wait a day and there it is. Seems like it gets in a bad mood when it gets warmed up.

It's just time to get a better setup that can talk to an Ipod.

There are a couple of optical sensors just inside the slot that detect when a CD is inserted. Clean them with alcohol and a cotton swab and see if that helps.
