I run galaxy radios. As a trucker it seems to be a favorite. Sideband option makes it talk more distance.

Whatever you can afford! I am stuck with whatever wally world or the local yard sales can provide! Probably a Cobra, although I always like a good Uniden my self.

If you don't mind spending a little extra money over the cost of the "run-of-the-mill" CBs - you can't go wrong with either a Galaxy or a Texas Ranger.

I bought a Uniden 76 ten years ago that I had Clay's CB shop install Connex 3300 finals in, with a good bench test and tune. They sell the 78 model with the same stuff. I've had nothing but compliments on the sound, and the reliability has been perfect. I was a slip seater for a while, and have installed this radio in over four vehicles. Recommend.

I have a cobra. It's not too bad. Though I can't find a place to mount it in my 05.

I'd like a Galaxy DX95T2.

Here's an '05 with a Cobra 29.

Antenna mounted on a stud in the Retrax frame. It's a hopped up Cobra 29 NWSTWX (or whatever the right order is) with about 1.5 SWR on a 4 ft Firestik Firefly. It gets out just fine.
