Carrier bearing ????

OK! I keep seeing that only the long beds have the carrier bearing, BUT i have short bed with a carrier bearing. Is this because all 2wd have a carrier bearing? And only the 4 wd have a difference of whether or not there is a carrier bearing?

It's because the 2wd's have a shorter drivetran I would think. so like you said probably all 2wd's have a carrier bearing, and 4wd depends on the bed size.

that's my guess

I just googled both and it seems they are the same thing! The Tacoma's center bearing looks beefier than my carrier bearing
