cargo light not working

I have a 2006 cummins and the cargo light is not working. I have checked all of the fuses under the hood and they are all fine. The book does not show where the fuse is. Can anyone give me a clue on this? Thanks Joe.

Wiring diagram for 06 does not show a seperate fuse for cargo lamp. The cargo lamp gets feed from the instrument cluster and it has three fuses #2 is 20A, #11 is 15A, and #35 is 20A.

Did not have a Sirius unit installed and I have checked the bulbs. When you push the button for the cargo light it comes on in the dash and if the door is open it chimes, but no lights in the back.

has it ever worked??? I would remove the light and check to see that power is getting up there. Maybe it didn't get plugged in correctly.

I think the 2006's have a push button to turn on the cargo lamp....Maybe I am wrong, but I thought I remember seeing that.

Right and it's hard to see under the steering wheel on the left. I discovered it during my fuse possession.

I have checked the power and the bulbs. The bulbs are fine and there is no power coming out of the wiring. It has been working just fine. There is a button just under the headlight switch. When I push it in the light on the dash comes on, but nothing on the outside.

sounds like a computer problem.. The switch tells the computer to turn on the light that's why alot of guys on here haven't been able to hook that switch up to an accessory light off the back. The switch is only a 5volt signal going to the comp. I would have to say you did all your homework now it's up to the dealer to fix it. Maybe for some stupid reason they need to "program" the comp to let it know you have cargo lights???
