Can't find source for the bird in my truck...
Whenever I hit a bump I get a "chirping" sound from the front end. It is def the front because at a slow speed, the front axle hits a bump and it chirps, rear axle hits same bump and I have silence. I checked the lower shock bolts and towers, extended links from my leveling kit, popped the hood and felt around...everything seems good. I'm fairly certain when my mechanic buddy put in my leveling kit, he did not remove the track bar, so I don't think thats it either. It started yesterday and it's buggin the heck outta me. I also checked all the hardware for my recently installed Defiant steering support, again all good... Seems it started when I put some mileage on the truck after the support instal, I retightend everything but noise still there, should I remove it and see if the noise persists?
Anyone got some ideas?

those are some funny pictures. i had one behind my driver's side headlight. found his carcass when i got my last oil change. guess he decided to roost there and couldn't stand the heat. i kinda felt bad, but nothing i could have done.

I had one drive 300 miles to LA through the desert in my wifes celica. I saw it fly in at low speed but thought it got away. When I pulled into the gas station for fuel, it flew out of the grille. I geuss it wanted a free ride to LA.

i have a similar problem too, except mine is like oh say a half gallon jug in the right side when you hit a bump it sounds like the bottle hitting thump thump, or like the rad. over flow container slapping around, but its not.

I did however find the source for the "chirp" sound, it was the heim joint on the extended sway bar link, drivers side, shot em both with some WD-40, noise is all gone...for now.

Instead of WD40, use 3M silicon spray. It lasts much longer than the WD40, and won't degrade the rubber.
I had the same problem on mine, and it turned out to be the upper bushings. I sprayed the 3M lube on them a few times, and the chirp went away.
