Sorry....never a slushbox ever again.

Thanks for all the links.

I tried Pioneer Chrysler in Wetaskiwin....nothing.

And, yes, I'll have to find more information on the warranty transfer across the border thing. Those that travel to Alaska get warranty work done in Canada? Right? You may have to correct me there. So, I can't see why purchase would be any different.

Yep, thanks. I've checked them out. I sent a message also, to ask if this was true, or if any manuals not listed on the site.

I called. They have what I'm looking for. All I can say it isn't worth even looking for one up here. Now all I need to do is figure out the ins and outs of getting it across the border. Because of trade agreements, they can't sell "new" to a Canadian citizen........but there is a way......people have done it. I just have to find out how. A friend of mine knows a vehicle importer - normally deals in high end vehicles like mercedes and such, but hopefully I can get to speak to him regarding this issue.

Festus, I would ABSOLUTELY make sure the warranty is transferrable BEFORE you buy south of the border. You definitely need the warranty on the third gen (jmo).

If I am home tomorrow do you want me to go down to Hanna Chrysler to see what they have? You are looking for a 1 ton SRW with a 6 speed correct?

Thanks sir. I almost forgot about that, but it's definitely been added to the list of details I have to get from this Importer once I get contact information.

Well folks, I've finally gotten my hands on the information. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to speak to a real person on the phone instead of a darn computer.

Anyway, it's fairly easy to get a truck built for the US market across the border, even a new one - the trucks are essentially the same except for the guages. It is just a matter of paperwork in which they faxed me detailed instructions.

Here's the problem....DC will not transfer the warranty. Now the question I have is having a full warranty better than saving about $18,000 (including dollar exchange, time, and travel to pick it up and drive it back) on the truck? 18 grand is alot of warranty!

Decisions, decisions.
