Can you disable the passenger side airbag?
The wife is going out of town for 6 weeks and I want to be able to have my 7 month old son in the front seat with me in case he needs something, any one know if there is a way with out hacking up the wiring?

yes there is,buy a switch from a reg. cab and then get the ecm flashed by the dealer,I did the same thing but I have a friend at the dealership so not sure if they will, but others said it was not legal without some kind of paperwork,oh yeah it will plug right in a empty plug behind the dash.

Real easy to do, I did it to my '04. If I can find the PN's i'll post them. When you buy the face plate/bezel and the switch you will need to scrounge up a screw as it does not come with one.
Unless you know some one that has access to a DRBII you will need the paper work from the fed's before the dealer will reflash you truck to recognize the new switch.
It only takes about 5min. to install the switch and about 10min. for the dealer to reflash the computer, and about 2 weeks for paper work from the fed's.
