Can someone tell me what 5% under invoice would be?

Like it says 5% under invoice plus all incentives. I am looking at trucks that are $40-$42k. Can someone tell me what I would be getting a $41k truck for? (2500 SLT, CTD, QC, 48re, 11.5 rear, 4x4, skids, Sport, etc.) I just got a new job before I even graduated college and I want to buy my dream truck in a few weeks once I pay my Jeep off. Also, I heard that the insurance on the diesel 4x4 trucks isn't as high as gas 4x4s, is this true?

The discount is a Mereceds Benz employee discount (friend works at the Mercedes factory)

Should I wait till the 05s come out?

Thanks

Go to KBB.com or NADA.com and use their configureator and build a truck with all the options you want . This will give you retail and invoice prices on base truck and options.
Go to MARKROBERTS.com web , this will give you some idea about invoice priceing.........JIM

Figure about 16.5% off of dealer sticker price for employee discount. Thats a dodge employee discount I'm assuming that MB discount is the same.

Get the invoice price from the dealer.... then multiply it by .95.

It's going to be different on each truck.

BigNutt, "Build" your truck just how you want it here on Web Carbook, it shows invoice price, then do your math:

http://www.webcarbook.com/GetZipCode...%2Findex%2Ecfm

(you start off by entering your Zip Code)

Build your truck on carsdirect.com and you'll see the invoice price. Then, do the math (x .95).

Invoice is appx. 10.5% off of MSRP. Ex.$42,000.00 x .895 = $37,590.00. $37,590.00 x .95 = $35710.50. This will get you very close.

I have to ask, " Which invoice" ?
I was told several years ago that there are 3 or more invoices.
One for the customer,
One for the sellsman,
And one for the owner ship.
Of course you are talking of the customer!
Things may be different today.

I'm guessing this included rebates as well?

Yes, that included the rebate. So employee price would have been 34474.

My truck listed for 42 and I paid 35

Not the best deal in town but I was satisfied. Especially with the $22,000 trade in allowance for my 2001 Dmax with 72,000 miles.
