Can P0573 cause rough idle and stalling?

My truck started running really rough at a stop light this morning and stalled on me. I restarted and it sounded like I had all kinds of timing rattle, it ran rough for about 3 seconds and died again. I tried one more time to start it, it was a hard start but she fired and I finished my drive with no problems. I got to work and checked codes and found only P0573 which is Brake Switch related.

I haven't driven her yet, but I changed the Brake Switch, and started her up, CEL is gone.

For anyone changing the Brake switch, after you slide the catch over you pull on the little black tab on the harness as you slide the harness out. I spent 10 minutes trying to push on the tab.

I've read that it effects your cruise control and shifting (Auto). Still haven't found any stalling or rough idle complaints associated with it so if a Dodge Tech (Cbrahs?) could comment, I'd be grateful.
