Can a 16" wheel fit over the calipers on the 3rd gen?

Can a 16" wheel fit over the calipers on the 3rd gen?
I searched but couldn't find if a 16" wheel will fit on our trucks without clearance issues. A buddy has a set of 305's on 16" 2nd Gen wheels that I can put on my truck for a steal until I pony up for the 35's.
I'll leave this post up after I get the answer so anyone else that searches can find the post with the answer.

I had a goofy friend that was determend to make them fit. He actually took a grinder to his tie rod end, and still couldn't get them to work. I asked him if he'd lost his mind. Of course he is on Oxycotton.
