California Emissions
I live in PA and I am looking at new trucks in NY and PA. The NY trucks say CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS on the sticker and the PA trucks do not. Is there any difference in the trucks? I do not want to buy a CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS truck if it will reduce the fuel mileage. Thanks for your help.

NY, Mass, and a few others require Ca emissions....tree huggers!
It should be a slightly different fuel curve. Don't know the details though. Like JohnCA58 said, it should be all 48 states now.

Trucks labeled as CA Emissions vs. those that are not, are all exactly the same truck--no design differences at all between CA and non-CA trucks. The ONLY difference is that a CA truck will have a CA CARB compliant sticker under the hood and a non-CA truck won't. (CA requires that EVERY truck be emissions tested at the factory and get a CARB sticker, whereas non-CA trucks are only sampled--i.e. 1 of every x number of trucks coming off the line gets emissions tested.) So you won't be compromising anything by buying a CA Emissions truck.
