A/C and Heater Control Panel

The lights are really dim on my air controller panel and when I tap on the panel, the lights will get brighter for a bit. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

not sure but my 06 hvac panel seemed really dim, so i pulled it apart and found out that one of the three lights was burned out. not sure on ur 03 if it might be the same issue.

2006 RAM 3500 Same Issue

My panel lights don't work at all, but if I tap on them they light up dim, but eventually go out again. My problem is I can't figure out how to pull the panel out to check wire plugs, etc. I have a manual and it shows removing the entire dash, except for the heater control panel. Anyone familiar with the removal for the 06' type trucks? It's a very anoying issue.
Thanks!

About 3-4 minutes in on this video, it shows how to get the climate control part out. You have to pull the shifter surround stuff to get at two screws that secure the bottom, then it pulls out.

Yes and leave those two screws out!! They really don't need to be there, and after that, you can take off that panel without taking off the shift surround. Does this apply to the 03-05's? I know it does for the later 3rd gens.....

I pulled my 03 apart, but memory of exactly how I did it is a little fuzzy.... I think it was kind of similar.
