Question A/C Fan Problem

I did a search and found plenty of a/c threads but nobody seems to have the same problem I have so here goes.

My a/c is not blowing as hard as it used to. on level one and two it is noticeably less than normal. When I put it on three there is a slight buzzing sound and it blows like it used to on level 2. If I turn it to level 4 it doesn't blow any harder than on level three and there is a loud buzzing sound coming from the fan area. The air still seems to be coming out at as cold as it used to but just not as hard.
I have noticed also that it seems like it is stuck on outside air even when I hit the recirculate button. There used to be a noticeable difference between how hard it blew on recirculate vs. outside air but now there is no difference.

Yep, this happened twice on mine. First time I took it to dealer and they replaced the HVAC recirculation door. It just happened again, this time out of warranty. I pulled off the blower(below dash, on passenger-side). I found the recirculation door laying on top of the blower. All you have too do is reach up in the housing, turn the door vertical, and pull it out...problem fixed. Only thing with this, you no longer have inside recirculation. No problem for me, colder than it ever has been and more air flow. If you are still within your 36k bumper-to-bumper warranty, just take to dealer...fully covered under warranty.

It was exactly what you described. I pulled out the broken door and now it is blowing harder than ever. I am going to run by home depot this afternoon for a ball valve to shut off the heater core as described in the other thread and it should really be able to freeze me out then
