Bye guys
We sold our 05 Dodge 3500 yesterday. I refuse to pay 70 cents a gallon more for diesel then gas. Diesel was 3.69 and gas at the ARCO was 2.99. We bought a new Toyota. The way things are going we will be paying 4 to 5 dollars a gallon for Diesel before long. These fuel prices are going to kill the economy.

Sucks to see you go, but you know, you gotta do, what you gotta do. I am lucky enough to have a choice in what I drive, and if diesel prices get too rediculous, I can hop in one of my other gas powered vehicles and drive them.

Sorry to see you go, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the Toyota.
Won't be long before fuel prices for gas exceed diesel.
I too am lucky that I don't have to really worry about fuel prices making my vehicle choices for me. I have a Miata that gets close to 40mpg's, so when I drive the truck it is for what you do with a truck that you can't do with a car.

I have been putting 4 times the miles on the Jetta than the truck. I enjoy both vehicles but the truck is definitely more fun. It's bad enough when it costs $40 to fill up the Jetta.
Good luck to you with your Toyota. I had one before this truck and it treated me well.

Wouldn't it have been a little more economical and easier on the pocket book to KEEP the truck and buy a Honda Civic or something of the sort that gets approx 40mpgs and keep the truck for what they're built for, work?
Just my opinion, but I bought my truck for work and it just so happens to be my daily driver. But if times/fuel prices get too tough, I can't ditch my work truck for a less capable vehicle...I'd just spend 2 or 3 grand and buy a little commuter...
