Buzzing when Cruise Control engaged...

OK, I noticed this a couple times in the past, but towing my brother's Bronco up and down the Columbia Gorge this past weekend (500+ mile round trip), it drove me bananas!! Whenever the cruise control is active, that is engaged not just on, there is an annoying buzz from the dash. Kick off the cruise, and no noise. Anyone else ever had this? Thanks in advance!

Re:Buzzing when Cruise Control engaged...

This might be caused by the throttle cable routing going to the accelerator pedal. There was a TSB concerning this problem on earlier trucks. I don't know if it would be a possability for the 03 or not.
Here is the link for what I am talking about TSB 14-04-98
Just guessing here,,,,,,,,, hope it may help. ;D

Re:Buzzing when Cruise Control engaged...

When cruise in engaged there is no load on the throttle pedal. My guess is it is rattling. Try just setting your foot on the pedal and see if it goes away. Do you have the adjustable pedals? I didn't order them because they looked like rattles waiting to happen - although very convenient for shorter folks.

Mathew
