Bremen running board installation problem

I purchased a full set of running boards from Bremen. Nicely made I might add. I started putting in the self tapping screws last night to attach the front running board. I used some Marine adhesive sealant on the self tappers. The problem is the brackets. I recieved a &quot;universal&quot; brackett installation kit. With the Dodge frame being a &quot;Hydro-formed&quot; frame I am reluctant to start drilling through the main frame. I could have it TIG welded ......??<br>Has anyone run into this problem and what did you do?

DRILL IT!

Everyone got all flustered over this frame. It is still just a frame. DC issued instructions on installing a fifth wheel hitch which takes big holes compared to those little holes for your braces. Install it as per instructions. Mine truck has not broken in half yet and the board is still on the truck. You will be fine. I did seal around the screw holes with a self healing paint to prevent rusting.

You are going to love those boards. I get a lot of compliments on mine. Even the boys are Dodge were all out looking them over.
