Boost & Pyro #'s step by step

got my outlook monitor installed on my new truck on Sunday, so I'm going to keep track of max numbers as I do my mods, I'll do them 1 at a time on this truck & I'll post the results here, so we can see what, if anything effects them. so far I have run about 100 miles since I put the monitor on. max boost- 40.5 psi
max pyro- 1154

I have noticed that my monitor, even on the other truck, seems to be off a little. even when the truck is sitting with the engine off, boost #'s will read 2.6-2.7psi. anyone else see this??? I always just assume my actual boost to be that much less than the reading I'm seeing. that would put my max at around 37.8psi is that about normal for an 05 6 speed???

I noticed after I installed my Outlook the boost read 1 or 2 psi at idle, now a few months later it reads 0 psi at idle. My max boost hasn't been over 32 psi and egt's has been in the 1400's on a very short run with the extreme program loaded. Right now I have the performance program loaded and I can hit 1200 fairly easily, thank goodness for the defueling feature!

finally got the magnaflow muffler on yesterday, man was it was hot out!! truck computer said 95 on the way home. leaned on it hard pulling hills in 5th & 6th, maxed the pyro at 1228. I'll run it like this for a couple weeks & post if it gets any higher. (p.s. if anyone is looking for a free flowing muffler that is reletively quiet, I highly recommend this magnaflow with the 30" body, straight thru design, but just slightly louder than stock, sounds alot beeter than the straight pipe, in my opinion)

40psi stock sounds high to me. I have not seen higher than 33psi on my X-monitor, stock. I can hit about 1275 - 1300 EGTs too.

When I had an Eliminator my EGTs hit almost 1600 once, but I was having a boost problem (never got above 24).
