Best year for 3rd Gen.
I sold the truck in my sig. about 3 months ago and I drove my sister inlaws 07 5.9 auto last night and I didn't sleep worth a hoot, withdrawl!
What are the best 3rd gen. years? I came from puttin up with several lift and injection pumps, no suspension woes, I was very kind to my truck.

I wil take the 07.5 for the six speed auto and the jake brake. I went from and old 12 vavle to what I have now and like it a lot. The power,handling,braking is like night and day. Have not realy used the truck yet.

I have a 04.5,,,,and it suck's. I do nothing but work on it. Of course I work it pretty hard. Maybe I just got a lemon. But,,my friend has the same truck in a 05 and his is much better than mine.

I owned an 07' QC Hemi 1/2 ton and now own a 05' QC Cummins. The differences in the interior quality and materials used between these two trucks is almost shocking.
The 05' reminds me of my old ladies new VW GTI. Thick and looks sdoft to the touch with some type of graininess pressed into it. The 07' was quite simply the worst example of interior materials I have had in a vehicle. Didnt keep me from owning one but it sure was a "Decontenting" issue between the years!!!
